ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS AND RECOGNITIONS

Professor Shen is well recognized by international community in his research fields. He served as Chairman or Co-Chairman to organize 10 international conferences in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Europe. He delivered over 150 lectures as keynote speakers, plenary speakers or invited speakers in international conferences. As Principal Investigator, he successfully bided 21 external highly competitive grants including RGC General Research Fund, Innovation and Technology Fund of Hong Kong, HMRF grant, National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. As Co- Principal Investigator, he was awarded by the grant of Areas of Excellence Scheme 2016/17, Research Grants Council. His studies were also supported by many other donations, contract research projects and internal grants. He has published over 200 original articles and invited review articles in prestigious journals including Journal of Neuroscience, Free Radical Biology and Medicine, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Hepatology, Chemical Science , Journal of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism, Translational Stroke Research, Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, Nanotoxicology, Journal of Advanced Research, Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, Neurobiology of Disease, , Neuropharmacology, Carcinogenesis, Journal of Ethnopharmacology, etc. Until March of 2021, his publications have been totally cited by 13423 times (Google citation) with Google H factor 46. Professor Shen was listed as 1% global high citation scientists by Clarivate (2019, 2020). He has published 16 books or book chapters. He received many scientific achievement awards.
