Master of Chinese Medicine (Oncology/Gynaecology/Acupuncture and Moxibustion)

The new 2-year MChinMed programme with the streams of Oncology, Gynaecology*, and Acupuncture and Moxibustion* aims to provide extensive training which covers in-depth theoretical knowledge in the respective stream, offering potential synergistic effect across different streams, particularly concerning the treatment of common and complicated illnesses. Other than the requisite theoretical knowledge of the respective stream, students are also expected to master the diagnostic and therapeutic means of common illnesses, including the potential adoption of integrated approach of Chinese and Western Medicine approach (with the use of acupuncture and moxibusiton) in the treatment process.

Curriculum
- To allow students to attain interdisciplinary knowledge of different streams through attending common courses and some of the classes of core courses outside their stream;
- To offer a high degree of flexibility which caters for students' different needs by offering two pathways, namely project-based and practice-based in the final year of studies
- Through the inter-disciplinary exchange of knowledge and information across different streams (Oncology/Gynaecology/Acupuncture and Moxibustion), student's skills in applying Acupuncture and oxibustion in the clinical diagnosis of illnesses related to Gynaecology/Oncology are to be enhanced.
Award of degree | The degree of Master of Chinese Medicine will be awarded to those who have satisfactorily completed the curriculum and satisfy the examiners in accordance with the regulations. |

Class arrangement | Classes are normally arranged on three alternate weekday evenings. Seminars or other courses may be arranged on weekend (*The School reserves the right for approving the final class arrangement). |
