Dr. Chen is a highly experienced professional who has dedicated her career to teaching, clinical services, and scientific research in Chinese medicine. She is enthusiastic about teaching Chinese medicine prescriptions and Chinese medicine health preservation. Her clinical service includes gynecology, gynecological tumors, and breast cancer.

Besides, she focuses on the research on breast diseases related to liver disease and the relevant development of new Chinese medicines.

5) Evidence of excellent applied research and or Knowledge transfer

The title: A tea bag YH0618, an herbal dietary supplement against chemotherapy-induced toxicity. We have developed an innovation approach to reduce side effect of chemotherapy, which has applied patent (application) No: 2016102214254 China. Which has transferred industry (Oriental Intel Health Products Co. LTD). The product are conducting pilot pharmacological in factory. I believe it is the can obtain great economic and social effects.

Used dietary supplement against chemotherapy-induced toxicity. We have developed an innovation approach (foods) to reduce side effect of chemotherapy which has applied patent (application) No: 2016102214254 China.

2. Supervision of Research Postgraduate Students

Generally, Dr.JP Chen has successfully guided several postgraduates to designing and accomplishing their essential projects. Currently, in her team, there are eight PhD and MPhil students conducting interesting proposal. Dr. Chen’s PhD and MPhil students all completed successfully completed thesis. Some of them one awarded outstanding and two awarded excellent students in HKU. There are two students has already become as full professor in Guangzhou University of TCM and Jiangxi University of TCM in mainland China. One of them awarded National Labor Medal in mainland China. My PhD students (Ms. Wang Neng & Mr. Hang Feng) two-time got the prizes of Chinese Medicine postgraduate in 2014, 2021.
