Over 130 S3 and S4 students from different secondary schools joined the summer programme, First Step to Medicine, organised by the HKUMed on July 24, 2023 during which the School of Chinese Medicine organised the comprehensive seminar with lively demonstrations. The seminar covered basic theories of Chinese Medicine and its unique means of treatment, coupled with demonstrations of acupuncture, cupping and auricular therapy. Besides, different types of Chinese herbs were also introduced to students, enhancing their knowledge in diagnostic principles adopted in Chinese medicine as well as arousing their interest in the Chinese medicine field.
