Organized by the School of Chinese Medicine at the HKUMED, the “Chinese Medicine Summer Immersion Course”(August 18-23, 2022) successfully recruiting 50 secondary students in 2022. Through the 4-day course, students received a class experience of learning Chinese medicine in seminars and skills demonstration, including the basic theories, meridians, acupuncture, Yin-yang and five elements. The course also provided students with in-person experience of Chinese medicine diagnostic skills, acupuncture and cupping therapy and production of herbal balm, herbal sachet and herbal tea in workshops. Furthermore, our Student Ambassadors shared their university lives and learning experience with participants via visit to the new Chinese Medicine Specimen Laboratory and HKU medical campus.
