Biography

Professor Man-Sau Wong is currently the Director of the Research Centre for Chinese Medicine Innovation and Professor at the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She received her B.S in Food Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and her Ph.D in Human Nutrition and Nutritional Biology at the University of Chicago. Her research interests include the use of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for prevention and treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis; the study of the molecular actions of bone protective phytochemicals; drug-herbs interactions between the use of selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) and Chinese medicine used for the management of menopausal syndromes.
