Abstract
Regulatory effects of Dandelion extract on triple-negative breast cancer and its microenvironment

Dandelion is a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of breast diseases, and it shows the effects on inhibiting the growth of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The anti-tumor effects and mechanism of dandelion extract against TNBC include: (1) induces endoplasmic reticulum stress-mediated apoptosis in TNBC; (2) interferes with lipid metabolism, reduces the fluidity and integrity of tumor cell membranes, accelerates the oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids, decreases intracellular lipid accumulation, and produces excessive ROS; (3) interferes with the interaction between tumor-associated macrophages and tumor cells in the tumor microenvironment. The above research results provide a scientific basis for the treatment of TNBC with dandelion.
