Abstract
The Qingre Huatan Liqi Formula could Alleviate PM2.5 Induced Airway Inflammation by Reducing Neutrophil Infiltration and NETs Formation

PM2.5 is an important trigger for various respiratory system diseases. The Qingre Huatan Liqi formula regulates the generation of NADPH oxidase/ROS through the MAPK signaling pathway; And it could activate the mTOR signaling pathway to down-regulate autophagy. Therefore, the formula affects histone citrullination and cytoskeleton dynamics, and interference of NETs production, consequently reduces PM2.5-induced airway inflammation. The UHPLC-LTQ-Orbitrap MSⁿ detection showed that bergapten is one of the main components of the formula that contributes to the effect by entering the blood and lung. In vitro experiments further confirmed that bergapten could inhibit the formation of NETs.
