Dr Chen Jianping



Dr Chen Jianping is a disciple of the Chinese medicine masters (國醫大師) Liu Minru and Professor Lin Yi. She obtained her bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in Chinese medicine in China.

She currently is a Principal Lecturer and supervisor of Ph.D. students for the School of Chinese Medicine, the University of Hong Kong. She is also a registered Chinese medicine practitioner in Hong Kong and Mainland China. She has worked as a visiting scientist and professor at several universities in Mainland China and overseas as well. She used to be a visiting scholar engaged in the research of traditional Chinese medicine in an American University and she has been involved in the clinical treatment of gynecological tumors for a long time.

Dr Chen Jianping's main research focuses is on breast diseases, especially in the prevention and treatment of gynecological tumors in breast cancer. Her research results are among the best in the School. Her passion for this field has attracted outstanding young scholars to join her research team. Currently, she has 3 PhD students and 2 postdoctoral fellows. She is on the editorial board or special issue editorial board of several international journals in this field. She has won the China Science and Technology Progress Award for Integrative Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, obtained nearly ten domestic and international patents, and published more than 200 papers, and more than 20 monographs.
